Developer Bit Reactor has started bringing previously furloughed employees back to work following the launch of Star Wars Zero Company in late August.
Staff Returns
Bit Reactor furloughed up to 80% of its staff in late August because funding ran out near the release date. Current headcount has now reached over half of its pre-furlough total. A portion of the suspended developers are returning to active work, while an unspecified number of employees have not yet been brought back.

Business Challenges
"Having to ask team members to step away after we navigated unexpected business developments outside of our control and so close to launch was an incredibly difficult decision, but one that was necessary to help us eventually bring as many people back as possible,"
Greg Foertsch, CEO
A lawsuit involving Foertsch and co-founder Alison Kelly remains ongoing.
"Thank you to our fans for the incredible response to the game and for supporting us along this journey. We look forward to sharing more updates regarding Bit Reactor and Zero Company soon."
