Gameplay Mechanics
The Buddy System allows players to exercise simultaneous control over two protagonists named Leo and Alex. Additional mechanical depth comes through the Epiphany combat system, alongside dynamic day-night cycles and an extensive crafting system.
Development Status
The title was previously pushed to 2027 according to an announcement on ArtPlay's official website last month. Koji Igarashi, the co-founder, stated that development on the project currently sits in its final stages. The studio also suffered a loss when creative director Shutaro Iida passed away on February 10 due to pancreatic cancer.
Despite these hurdles, the team remains committed to fulfilling the ambitious vision set out for this upcoming installment. Fans eagerly awaiting the gothic adventure will find that the integration of these mechanics shifts how exploration and combat intertwine across the expansive game world.
