Community developers have launched a semi-open PC beta for CyberMP, a multiplayer mod for Cyberpunk 2077, while dataminers and fans analyzing the trailer for Fortnite's upcoming "Override" season have uncovered integrated crossovers tied to CD Projekt Red’s franchise.

CyberMP Beta Features

The CyberMP mod introduces functional networking infrastructure to Night City, enabling shared gameplay sessions. Current features include custom character creation, player name tags, synchronized vehicle riding, competitive racing, and real-time PvP kill feeds. The semi-open test is currently active on PC, though the development team has not yet committed to a timeline for a full public release.

Fortnite Override Crossover

Simultaneously, assets discovered in the official Fortnite "Override" season trailer point to a formal collaboration between Epic Games and CD Projekt Red. Observant viewers identified several canon items from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe within the footage, specifically the Arasaka HJSH-18 Masamune rifle and the TKI-20 Shingen submachine gun. The trailer also briefly displayed a branded Night City billboard and featured the corporate assassin Adam Smasher as an antagonist figure.

Epic Games has slated the Fortnite Override season for an August 20 release. Full patch notes and a breakdown of the Cyberpunk 2077 crossover content are expected to drop closer to that date, detailing how these weapons and characters will function in battle royale matches.
