Fairphone has launched the Fairphone 6+ in the United States for $649, marking the first time the Dutch manufacturer's modular smartphones are sold directly to U.S. consumers without third-party importers or modifications.
Hardware and Specifications
The device operates on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor paired with 12GB of RAM. It features a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,415 mAh battery supporting 30W fast-charging. Photography hardware consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor using Sony optics, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The chassis incorporates a microSD card slot for expandable storage and is available in Forest Green, Horizon Black, and Cobalt Blue. At launch, the phone supports carrier networks on T-Mobile and AT&T.

True to the brand's modular design philosophy, the Fairphone 6+ houses 12 replaceable physical components that users can service using a single standard screwdriver. Fairphone backs the hardware with a five-year warranty and commits to software updates extending through 2033.
U.S. buyers now have direct access to official replacement parts and accessories, lowering long-term ownership costs and addressing electronic waste by extending device lifespans.
