Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 will launch on August 27, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The upcoming compilation includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, marking the first time both titles arrive on Nintendo hardware.

Pre-release manuals distributed for the Nintendo versions indicate that visual references to the PlayStation 3 hardware have been altered. In the original 2008 release of Metal Gear Solid 4, physical models of the PlayStation 3 console appeared on tables within specific scenes. Screenshots from the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 documentation confirm these models have been swapped out for GA-KO duck figures.
Platform Discrepancies
This hardware substitution is specific to Nintendo platforms. According to pre-release documentation and comparative asset checks, the PlayStation 3 console models remain intact on tables within the PlayStation, PC, and Xbox versions of the collection.
