The title features an extensive combat system centered around weapon management. Players gain access to over 30 main weapons alongside 25 secondary weapons, referred to as "phantom blades." These armaments can be upgraded and reforged as players progress through the game.
To accommodate varying skill levels, S-Game implemented three distinct difficulty settings. "Traveler" focuses on the narrative, "Hell Walker" provides a standard challenging experience, and "Sixty-Six Days" is designed for maximum difficulty.

Martial arts star Donnie Yen joined the production as a creative consultant. Beyond his advisory role, Yen contributed facial and motion capture data to portray the character Mó Yuan in the game.
