Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day maintained its hold on the North American box office during its third weekend, pulling in a projected $67 million domestically to bring its running domestic total to approximately $782.8 million.
Box Office Competition
The release generated $19 million on Friday alone, holding off newer multiplex arrivals despite direct competition. The End of Oak Street opened with $8.1 million on its first day, while PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie added $7.35 million on Friday. Even with these new titles entering the market, the latest web-slinger installment retained the top spot without a significant drop in theater allocation.
Domestic Trajectory
With $782.8 million secured by the end of its third weekend, the film is positioned to cross the $800 million domestic threshold within the fortnight. This trajectory places the release in contention to surpass Avengers: Endgame and establish a new benchmark for the highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe release in the domestic market.
