Dolly Parton missed the Friday opening of the new NightFlight Expedition ride at Dollywood due to health issues, addressing attendees only through a pre-recorded video message.
Health Issues And Doctor's Orders
Dollywood President Eugene Naughton presented the recording during Friday's dedication ceremony, where Parton appeared from her home in Nashville. The 80-year-old entertainer explained that she has been dealing with dizziness and dehydration, prompting her physician to strictly advise against travel.
This medical absence follows a pattern of recent health-related cancellations. Parton previously called off her planned Las Vegas residency in May and postponed a series of concert performances originally scheduled for December 2025.
Future Schedule And Recovery
Parton will remain in Nashville to rest and comply with medical guidance, effectively putting her immediate public appearances on hold while she focuses on recovery.
