Jackson have expressed interest in returning to their respective roles for a project centered on the prequel era.

The proposed reunion hinges on the availability and willingness of the original ensemble. Christensen indicated that McGregor, Portman, and Jackson are open to reprising Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padmé Amidala, and Mace Windu. This actor-backed pitch arrives alongside separate creative discussions within the franchise. Ewan McGregor has previously pitched independent concepts to Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni for a potential continuation of Obi-Wan Kenobi, including narrative paths involving Yoda or interactions with Hera Syndulla.
Lucasfilm Development Status
Lucasfilm has not officially greenlit Christensen's pitch, and no production schedules or development deals currently exist for a prequel reunion project. The studio's current live-action slate prioritizes other eras, including the post-Return of the Jedi timeline managed by Filoni and Jon Favreau. However, the studio has increasingly utilized de-aging technology and flashback structures to reintegrate legacy actors, as seen in Disney+ series such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.
