Krispy Kreme has launched a limited-edition Pokémon doughnut collection and themed beverage cups across the United States and Canada, coinciding with the early lead-up to the franchise's 30th anniversary.
The Pokémon Specialty Collection Lineup
The menu features six distinct character designs tied to specific flavor profiles. Pikachu is filled with lemon, Jigglypuff features a strawberry filling, and Charmander combines caramel with a chocolate filling. Rounding out the character selection, Bulbasaur contains vanilla, Squirtle features cotton candy, and the lineup is completed by a specialized Poké Ball doughnut. Additionally, standard Original Glazed doughnuts are being sold in commemorative Pokémon-themed cups under the name Gold Dots.
Availability and Timeline
The collection rolled out at participating locations on August 18 and will remain on sale through September 13.
The availability of these items provides consumers in the North American market direct access to the anniversary merchandise throughout the four-week promotional window, following which the items will be removed from participating store menus.
