MTV and Paramount+ have officially renewed the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise for new seasons, backed by recent ratings growth and 11 Primetime Emmy nominations.

Franchise Renewal Lineup

MTV has renewed the main competition for Season 19 alongside its companion series Untucked. Simultaneously, Paramount+ ordered Season 12 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars and its corresponding Untucked aftershow. Both series will continue to be produced by World of Wonder.

Ratings and Awards Momentum

The franchise enters its next production cycle following strong performance metrics. Season 18 of the main series delivered double-digit year-over-year viewership growth and concluded with the crowning of Myki Meeks. Meanwhile, the All Stars renewal follows the conclusion of the Tournament of All Stars, which was won by Crystal Methyd.

On the industry front, the franchise secured 11 Emmy nominations this season. This tally includes host RuPaul Charles extending his own record with an 11th consecutive nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.

This dual-platform renewal ensures that both the core MTV flagship series and the Paramount+ All Stars format remain core anchors of the networks' unscripted programming slates for the upcoming television calendar.
