Battlefield Studios has launched a free trial for Battlefield 6 running until August 25, 2025, directly overlapping with the first beta session for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

The trial includes the Season 4 mid-season update and the Top Gun crossover collaboration. Players gain access to four new maps—Wake Island, Tsuru Reef, Cairo Bazaar, and Hagental Base—alongside the Carrier Strike game mode. Access is available across all supported platforms without charge for the duration of the event.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Schedule
The Modern Warfare 4 beta runs from August 21 to August 25 for users who pre-order the title. A second open testing period is scheduled from August 28 to September 1, which will expand testing to the Switch 2.
This scheduling sets up a direct competition for player engagement between the two major shooter franchises during the final week of August.
