Nintendo has announced that No Man's Sky will be available as a free Game Trial for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Europe, running from August 20 to August 26, 2026.

During the promotional window, active subscribers in the region can access the complete game at no additional cost. Hello Games confirmed that any progress made during the trial period will carry over if players decide to purchase the full version after the promotion ends.
Cross-Generation Compatibility
The trial period extends to both current-generation hardware and Nintendo's successor console. Players accessing the title on the Nintendo Switch 2 will also benefit from a dedicated, complimentary optimization upgrade package designed for the newer hardware.
