The turn-based role-playing game Small Saga launched digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop at the end of last week, priced at $19.99 with a temporary 10 percent launch discount. Simultaneously, publishing house Famitsu released the physical retail sales data for the Japanese market covering the four-week period from June 29 to July 26, 2026.

Famitsu's retail data highlights strong software movement across Nintendo hardware. Rhythm Paradise Groove led the month on the original Nintendo Switch with 674,592 physical units sold. Meanwhile, Splatoon Raiders debuted on the Nintendo Switch 2, moving 474,684 physical copies during its first four days on the market.
Hardware Sales Growth
On the hardware front, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold 136,648 units in Japan during July. This monthly figure brings the platform's lifetime accumulated sales in the region to 6,102,000 units.
