Microsoft has detailed its late August 2026 Xbox Game Pass lineup, headlined by day-one releases including Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Blood Dungeon, alongside the division's upcoming presence at Gamescom.

The service receives Vapor World: Over the Mind on August 19, followed by Blood Dungeon on August 25. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy joins the platform as a day-one release on August 27 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Concurrently, the catalog will shrink at the end of the month, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered scheduled to leave the service on August 31.
Gamescom 2026 Presence
Xbox is bringing 25 playable titles to the convention floor in Cologne, running from August 26 to August 30. The confirmed showcase features upcoming major software, led by Gears of War E-Day. Microsoft will broadcast two special developer streams during the event to detail updates on these projects.
These concurrent announcements position the subscription service around immediate late-month additions while utilizing Gamescom to establish the autumn release schedule for the Xbox ecosystem.
